Hans Ulrich Obrist

  

Hans Ulrich Obrist (b. 1968, Zürich, Switzerland), the Artistic Director of the Serpentine Galleries, London, is now an international curator and critic active in the contemporary art circles.

 

Up to now, Obrist has participated in curating and initiating more than 300 exhibitions and projects, including the Berlin Biennial (2001), Moscow Biennial (2005), Lyon Biennial (2007), and Yokohama Triennial (2008), etc. He compiled over 70 academic works, most notables among which are the dontstopdontstopdontstopdontstop, a collection of his selected articles from 1990 to 2006; the Do It series, which invited at least 200 most essential contemporary artists to compose the project of  “do it” (the 《做》(Chinese Version) and do it (Chinese Edition) were published); and the book Hans Ulrich Obrist Interview reveals how interview becomes his significant approach to research and criticize the global contemporary art.
