Janette Laverrière

Janette Laverrière

Janette Laverrière (Swiss born, Paris-based, 1909 – 2011) is an important artist, architect, decorator and designer of the 20th century. Her strikingly original works dated from the 1930s right up to the present day are impressing with the elegance and inventiveness of the idiosyncratically titled works – often using forms and materials before anyone else. Although, many important pieces of Janette Laverrière are in private hands, as well as in public collections (for example, the Centre Pompidou, Paris), she also wished her work to be more widely available - to produce some of her unrealized designs, so she entrusted gallery with exclusive licenses to produce some editions of her work.
